The Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association will see a change of management with its largest tenant, the annual Sunday Flea Market, with the news that longtime organizer Sam Yakamoshi will be retiring at the end of the year. “Sam has grown this event into a local institution,” says Cloverdale Rodeo General Manager Dave Melenchuk. “The staff and Board of Directors at Cloverdale wish him well in his much deserved retirement.”
The weekend Flea Market attracts tens of thousands of patrons throughout the year, with hundreds of vendors selling new and used goods, furniture, antiques, and plants. The Association, looking to build on the popularity of the long-running event has partnered with Galaxy Promotions who will add elements such as artisans, buskers and entertainment to the weekly Flea Market starting in January, 2012. Current vendors of the market will all continue to be at the heart of the event.
